Promising review: “Perfect country cottage looking fountain. The fountain came packaged well. It was super easy to assemble – literally under 5 minutes. The sound is soft and calming. Would be an excellent fountain for an indoor sunroom because it isn’t loud; however, I chose to put it on my backyard patio next to the sliding glass door so I can hear it when I am relaxing in the seating area on the patio or from inside the living room. I added riverrocks, which doesn’t affect tge sound at all unless you have tge water stream directly onto a rock, then it gets a little louder. I put the fountain on an outdoor timer so I don’t have to worry about plugging it in everyday, as there is no on/off switch. Some reviews mentioned the motor was loud, but I haven’t experienced this, as I don’t hear the motor at all. Since the fountain wasn’t going near my potted planters or in my garden, I needed to give it some floral surroundings so I decided get an large wooden barrel planter and put a bucket inside with a paver on top to stabilize the fountain on top of it. I then filled it with soil and planted an array of flowers to give it a country cottage look. It turned out awesome. Promising review: “Let your imagination run wild. Very nice addition to my pond as I come close to completing my project. My sincere apology but I had to modify this exquisite piece to fit my needs; (I never intend on returning this item there-for I can care less about voiding any warranties.) Originally the pump faced against my bridge’s railing system so I had to move the pump to the front of the fountain. No place to put the pump so I had to build a platform that I created with expandable foam and decorated it with slate, artificial moss, and plants. The original flower pot I converted into an additional waterfall and the area where the pump was originally placed I installed a real rock and added an artificial tree. I also cut a section at the front of the barrel and added another piece of rock to tell the story that the rock was the reason for the broken barrel. This was done to ensure that water flows out and over the fountain and into my pond instead of dribbling down the side of the barrel.As I cut and modified the fountain I notice that the paint chipped very easily. I had to re-touch and completely seal the fountain with an exterior clear coat spray.
